BACKGROUND:

AccuWeather Inc. is an American media company that provides commercial weather forecasting services worldwide. They are one of America’s most popular weather apps, with over 100m downloads on the Google Play store alone. 

TASK : 

Come up with a data-driven idea to get people to think of Accuweather as the go-to weather app. Your idea must use data in a creative way.

Most people don’t expect weather apps to be consistently correct in predicting the weather.

AccuWeather had the lowest absolute error of the other weather sources examined in the study, performing 7.6 percent better than the next closest provider. With that data in mind, we’ve decided to put that to the test. Accuweather introduces Acculette, a members only in app plugin that benefits you for betting against Accuweather. Every time Accuweather falsely predicts the daily forecasts our customers get points to redeem weather friendly rewards.
